It's impossible to be angry and be logical at the same time.

We make the stupidest decisions when we are angry.
You never hear someone say "wow I'm really feeling good about myself by attacking that other person"

Most the time we regret what we do or say in anger.
There are anger management groups and all sorts of therapies to try and help people deal with their anger. 

Know this: 
  • all anger comes from fear. 
  • Either the fear that you won't get what you need for the fear that you will lose what you have. 
  • All fear is created in the mind in the imaginary future or the remembered past. 

We get angry remembering things that people said or did.

We get angry at ourselves about things we said or did.
We get angry when we think about the future and imagine our security and way of life being threatened by change.

But underneath all of it is fear. 

There are many techniques to control your fear. Breathing is probably the number one way that you can instantly control your fear.

By taking deep slow deliberate breaths you activate your parasympathetic nervous system.
The parasympathetic nervous system is responsible for rest and recovery. 

On the other hand your sympathetic nervous system is responsible for fight or flight. 

You can activate either by acting out scenarios that represent danger or relaxation.

The body is hardwired over millions of years to instantly go into a state of fight or flight when you tense up your muscles stop breathing and put a certain look on your face.

Imagine a warrior going into battle. If you put yourself in this physiology and body language you will activate fear and anger in your nervous system.

Now imagine two lovers lying down relaxed looking into each others eyes. The breathing slows the facial expressions melt and the "tone" softens.

By controlling the body language facial expressions breathing and tone of the words you say you can activate your inner warrior or your inner lover.

Both are useful depending on the situation. 

This is about choice. 
Choice is better than no choice. 
The element in the system with the most available choices will be the controlling element.

If you want to get rid of your anger get rid of your fear. 

The way to do this is by controlling your body more so than your mind.
