if applying to a 360 image it will need require warp and wrap when positioned high or low of horizon

makes lots of square canvas avatar of your face with an action on white background 

takes only seconds with a auto transparency app remove the white background

for non 360 purpose is an easy to use app with many emoj to apply to existing photo or use the camera option

for 360 users 

whilst it has ratio 2x1 the output is too low res, you have to create the emoj onto a blank canvas and then use another app to make the background transparent

1. has am emoj painter - apply emoj on a blank screen as much you want 

2. has hundreds and hundreds of emoj and they can be expanded to very large without loss of detail

3. includes an editor where you can select crop to square before output 

or simply output and then in camera roll select rest and /crop and square it

4. use an transparent background app (mentioned in this page) and

slightly messy but free and expansive depending on how many free message emoji apps you have

1. send a emoji to yourself, then click on it to expand

2. screen capture it to camera roll

3. use camera roll to edit/crop to square but before save expand the image within the square to within 80% of the boundary

4. use a transparency app for the parts you dont want

this is the app I use and recommend for creating square canvas, its fast and reliable and easy to drive

it has a stamps section (see below) with lots of emoji free in the price
