 Thip Samai is touted as the Best Pad Thai in Bangkok by locals and foreigners, having come a long way since its opening in 1966. It is now like a factory restaurant. There are many variations of Pad Thai here and the most popular is “The Superb Pad Thai” with prawns wrapped in omelette. Be prepared to queue for an hour on the street to get in or get take away and walk 100 mtrs toward fort Mahakan and retreat into the small boutique park on the canal and savour your delights with the treasured meal. In the park is a small (well hidden) bar called Penquin Village Community Bar where you can buy drinks
