Official opening is Saturday 01/09 but don't let that stop you, we went, test dinned, we're going back very soon.

Location: Just inside the entrance to the Bangkok's best Beat Sukhumvit Soi 19 is home to yet another amazing diamond. See the map location on the main page.

Decor: hearty and homely; Exposed earth colour brickwork and loads of solid timbers rich and bronzed.  Afront are solid timber table and chairs to endure the weather and inside are very comfortable cushioned chairs in dark tone chocolate leather.

The seating is traditional and boutique to suit patrons mood and style, from high back raised tables to low and lazy for that late super brandy. The earthy walls are adorned with classy sketches and paintings that characterise elements of El Gauncho the cowboy of Agentina..

Views: Yes, Big and Bold

Ground floor:
s
tarting with a ground floor open roof verandah,
where there's actually room to move, here there is the vantage point
to monitor the passing parade of locals and tourists which are drawn
to the busy interchange of BTS (skytrain) station and MRT (subway)
station Sukhumvit which is only a stone throw away.

1st Floor:
If you prefer a little more seclusion then you’ll enjoy
the grand stand view from the 1
st floor.

With full height and width windows spanning the width of the restaurant,
providing an un interrupted view across the Soi out on
Sukhumvit and at a raised parallel view of the skytrain which passes every 15 minutes.

Choice of seating high extends form the traditional table setting to high back chairs with raised table tops as well as several VIP zones.

I particularly liked the staff apparelthe "all black" uniform is elegant yet casual and compliments the decor.

I always enjoy a brief chat with the wait staff and find
out a little about the place, the people.
I was delighted to chat with Romeo (picture left).

He has just transferred from their Vietnam
venue just a few weeks ago and now
busy localising while providing valuable leadership for new staff.

The Food:  Winner
There is now doubt their success in Vietnam is not by chance,
the menu is casual in appearance yet unveils a distinguished order of delights for meat lovers as well as catering for other appetites
including an infusion of dishes for local pallets.

The Price: Well weighted, fair and reasonable; location, atmosphere and food.

Dany is very Passionate about his Gaucho family venues, he was on site during the construct to ensure the finished product achieved the high standard aligned with his reputation. Dany assures us the culture at Soi 19’s latest Icon is a mirror of his venues in Vietnam, all enjoying a solid following.
