1.5km walk along klong (canal), over rooftops of old village, freeway, sunset views of city skyline

 starting from Suk Soi 1o end at Benjakitti Park Gardens and Lake
Facilities / utilities:
Food and Drinks: 30 mtrs from the start point
behind the park (parallel to sukhumvit) is a very quiet 350 mtr alley of homes which include several Deli Thai style, snack food and drinks, the 1st being on the 1st house closest to the start of the trail.
Toilets: 100 mtrs from start point
in the new Suan Pa Benjakitti (forest garden) at the entrance past the car park are toilets
The trail
The entire trail is 3 to 5 mtr wide concrete path with excellent lighting so bring along your skates or bike to suit
1st 450 mtrs is along a sometimes smelly unused klong / canal .. never mind
then 30 steps up tand across Suk Soi 4 (this road leads back to Sukhumvit (800 mtrs) Soi 4 home of famous Nana plaza (adults only)
another 100 mtrs and up some more steps to the freeway crossing
here you can step down onto the road and walk back to Sukhumvit (main rd) along the railway line.
along the line you might see people living in make shift houses and certainly on the other side of Sukhimvit the line is hard up again housing .. where people live, walk an trade but that's another tour walk.
At the passover you can
catch cool pics of traffic (sunset shots) with city skyline in the background
step down into the Thai village below - from this point on the path is rooftop high as we walk over the village

 the 2nd leg is fascinating
we are now rooftop high walking over a Thai village below
at rooftop height on a 4 mtr concrete footpath you have a birds eye view down into the village and see all life activities
about half way along (at around sunset) enjoy awesome views as the sun sets behind the city skyline of Sukhumvit, stunning lighting reflections on the tall glass buildings
turn the opposite direction to Silom to see the opposite effect on the sky scrappers
you might also have good vision to see Bangkok Polo Club
continue to the end to pass over a road and down onto the road, a short walk 100 mtrs to entrance of Lumphini Park lake and gardens
