Along Yaowarat Road you will find Bangkok's Chinatown, while Pahurat Road is the home of the sizable Indian community. 

Bangkok's Chinatown is the country's largest Chinese district, a sprawl of narrow alleyways, temples – including Wat Traimit and it's famously heavyweight Golden Buddha – and shophouses plagued by thundering traffic and choking fumes.

 It's all packed in between Charoen Krung (New Road) and the river, separated from Ratanakosin by the Indian area of Pahurat – famous for it's cloth and dressmakers' trimmings – and bordered to the east by Hua Lamphong train station

Best way to be introduced to Chinatown is to start at Yaowarat Chinatown Heritage Centre is an exciting start of the art exhibition centre located in lower level of Wat Traimit (home of famous golden budda), so much history in 1 place with many attractions nearby in crazy busy Chinatown zone of Bangkok

Transport

Airport: Skytrain to/from airport including timetable.  Tip: Peak hour traffic warning.

Land: 
Major transport BTS (skytrain) DOES NOT pass through this zone, MRT (Subvway) gets you there at station Hua Lamphong

Public buses otherwise taxi car, tuktuk or motor bike

Waterways: Nearby inland canal Saen Saep for express transfer behind the city into zone of Bang Lamphu, Rattanakosin and Chinatown, which connect with the Chao Phraya river which is serviced by ferry boat Chao Phraya river ferry

Choice of Accommodation, 3 to 5 star, mostly the area is trading post but high quality Accommodation can be found in the adjoining zone along the river.

    So many worthy nominees, Bangkok (Thailand) is a champion of culinary taste delights.
    • Chinatown is arguably the mecca of "food tours"
